The Miller Lash House wedding venue is the kind of venue that looks good on its own before you add anything. Think of a historic house, lots of greenery, open fields, gardens, and Highland Creek right outside.
We’ve been designing weddings since 2017, and we like to let the venue do its thing. At Miller Lash House, that means choosing florals and décor that complement the gardens and old-school charm rather than covering everything up.
Whether you’re planning a small indoor wedding or a bigger outdoor reception, there are plenty of ways to make the space feel like you.
Getting Married at Miller Lash House
Located on the University of Toronto Scarborough campus, Miller Lash House was built in 1913 as the Lash family’s summer home. Today, the estate offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings of different sizes.
For ceremonies, the Evergreen Arbor Site accommodates up to 220 guests and sits in a private area surrounded by lush grass and evergreens. Its wooden arbor fits right into the natural setting and can be styled with your own florals and décor. The River Rock Waterfall Site can host up to 400 guests and offers 360° views of the gardens, with tall apple trees for shade and two river rock fountains adding a peaceful backdrop to the ceremony.
For receptions, the Great Room seats up to 48 guests for a full-service meal or 110 for a cocktail reception. The space features antique furniture, original exposed beams, and a screened-in porch overlooking Highland Creek that can be used as a lounge or dancing area. For larger celebrations, the Outdoor Tent (available May–October) accommodates up to 220 seated guests or 300 for a cocktail reception. With clear walls, chandeliers, draping, lighting, ceiling fans, power outlets, and a wood dance floor, you get the outdoor views with everything you need for a full reception.
The best part? You don’t need to overdo the décor. The gardens, greenery, and historic details already set the scene. Add your florals, tablescapes, and personal touches, and you’re good to go.
