VintageBASH has been working on weddings across Toronto and the GTA since 2017, including celebrations at The Manor. What works especially well here is the contrast between the venue’s fairly neutral interiors and the greenery outside. The reception rooms leave plenty of space for florals to define the look, while large windows bring natural light into the room during daytime celebrations.

For this wedding, soft pastel flowers did most of the talking. White, blush, lavender and touches of yellow appeared throughout the bouquets, tables and floral installations. Against the neutral room and dark wood chairs, the colour felt noticeable without becoming too much.

About The Manor

Located about 20 minutes north of Vaughan, The Manor sits within the grounds of the Carrying Place Golf & Country Club. The property pairs a modern event venue with landscaped greenery, a large man-made pond and outdoor areas that give couples more than just a ballroom backdrop.

Inside, there are approximately 34,000 square feet of event space divided across three rooms. Couples can choose a space based on the size and format of their celebration, while the relatively neutral interiors make it easier to introduce a distinct colour palette through reception décor, linens, flowers and tabletop details.

Outdoor ceremonies are another option. The patio and surrounding grounds can host ceremonies and receptions, with the golf course and greenery providing a noticeably different atmosphere from the indoor spaces.

For guests, having the ceremony, photos and reception within the same property can keep the day straightforward. The Manor also operates under Peter & Paul’s Hospitality Group, with customizable event packages covering food, drinks and entertainment.

This The Manor wedding took a softer approach to colour. Instead of sticking to an all-white floral palette, the arrangements mixed white and cream flowers with blush pink, pale lavender and small hits of yellow. Greenery added some looseness to the arrangements and kept the pastel palette from feeling overly sweet.

The couple carried that floral direction throughout the day. The bridal bouquet featured the same mix of soft colours, while the bridesmaids wore light lavender dresses that picked up the purple tones in the flowers. Even the groom’s boutonnière tied back to the palette with a small lavender bloom.

Inside the reception, florals became a much bigger part of the room. Round guest tables were dressed in white linens and topped with low arrangements, clear glass details and candles. The low centrepieces kept sightlines open across the tables — a small detail that makes a difference once everyone is seated.

The sweetheart table became the visual anchor. Flowers ran densely across the front, while a larger floral installation framed the couple from behind. White, lavender, blush and yellow blooms continued here, but at a larger scale. Candlelight softened the arrangement once the reception moved into the evening.

There were smaller moments too. A floral installation followed the staircase railing, while simple bud vases and signage dressed the guestbook area. Rather than giving every part of the venue the same amount of décor, the design concentrated the flowers where they’d have the most impact.

And when the first dance started, that floral backdrop became part of the photos rather than simply reception décor. With the room lights lowered and low-lying fog across the dance floor, the flowers framed the couple without taking over the moment.

Yes, when the pieces and timeline allow for it. Here, some floral arrangements were specifically planned to move from the ceremony to the reception, including larger floral pieces and floor clusters.

That kind of reuse is worth planning early because it can make the décor feel more connected from one space to the next.

Do you handle setup and teardown at The Manor?

Yes. VintageBASH can handle coordination, installation, setup and teardown for the décor included in the order. For this wedding, that also included transferring selected pieces between the ceremony and reception locations.

The timeline matters here. This event had a tighter ceremony setup and teardown window, so those logistics were factored into the service plan ahead of time.

How far in advance should we book?

Earlier is better, especially if you’re planning a summer wedding or need larger floral installations, rentals or a specific colour palette. VintageBASH books on a first-come, first-served basis, so dates can fill before the final design is fully worked out.

Once your venue and date are confirmed, that’s usually a good time to start discussing florals, reception décor and any pieces you may want to reuse throughout the day.
