Lilac & White Garden-Inspired Wedding Reception in Etobicoke
Set under a draped tent in Etobicoke (Toronto), this wedding reception combined structure with softness. VintageBASH was brought in to style the full reception setup using faux florals and curated rentals — all tailored to the couple’s request for a garden-inspired direction with a lilac and white palette.
The result was a clean and cohesive layout, where each zone felt visually connected while serving its purpose — from guest tables and bar styling to a full sweetheart table setup.

Venue Overview: Private Residence in Etobicoke
The tented space was framed with white ceiling draping, soft perimeter curtains, and classic black chandeliers. The layout allowed for symmetry without feeling rigid — guest tables flowed into the dance floor, while the bar and dessert area were clearly defined with subtle styling.
The surrounding greenery beyond the tent added a natural backdrop that supported the floral palette without needing extra color or props.
Styling Services & Rentals Provided
VintageBASH handled the full reception decor and bridal party florals, including:
- Faux floral centerpieces: both tall arrangements on risers and lower, full centerpieces
- A layered sweetheart table install with draping front florals and side framing columns
- Coordinated bud vase groupings for the bar and accent tables
- Signage styling and base florals
- White cross-back chairs (VintageBASH or venue-provided)
- Rental of gold flatware, charger plates, table numbers, and glass candleholders
- Faux floral bouquets and personals for the bridal party
Design Direction
The overall approach was grounded in movement and tone. We worked with a lilac and ivory base, supported by blush accents and mixed greenery. Florals were arranged to avoid visual blocks — keeping sightlines open while adding form and dimension.
Highlights included:
- The sweetheart table setup, which layered a long floral runner with upright garden-style arrangements on columns for structure and height
- Guest tables with mixed centerpiece heights to break up repetition, anchored by soft lilac napkins and clean gold flatware
- The bar zone, which included bud vases in clear glass and floral pops that matched the rest of the layout
- A cake table with coordinating styling, placed within view of the reception space without interrupting the table flow
Faux Florals Used
The couple preferred a realistic faux floral option. Stems were selected for quality, shape, and variation, including:
- Cream and blush garden roses
- Lilac spray roses
- Peonies
- Mini ranunculus
- Hanging wisteria accents
- Mixed eucalyptus and fresh-tone ruscus
This floral mix created contrast while keeping the look light and airy.
