The Guild Inn Estate: Bright Summer Garden Wedding in Scarborough
Jasmine and Yann’s summer wedding reception at The Guild Inn Estate brought their vision of a lively garden party to life. With a focus on colour, texture, and asymmetry, this setup was a bold take on the traditional ballroom wedding—filled with long-stemmed blooms, layered candles, and thoughtful styling choices throughout.

The Guild Inn Estate provided the right balance between indoor comfort and an outdoor-inspired vibe. Set in Ballroom A and a Half, the space features high ceilings, clean architectural lines, and plenty of room for installations. It allowed the team to build a full floral scene without visual clutter, giving the vibrant palette space to breathe. For couples looking for a reception location that offers flexibility and a clean backdrop for decor, this venue checks a lot of boxes.

Decor Services We Provided
VintageBASH handled full floral styling for this wedding, building around key elements provided by the couple—including their own Greek pedestals, flower urns, and taper candles. Our team focused on bringing their “bright, garden-inspired” moodboard to life with textural faux blooms, layered florals, and scale variation that kept each area feeling distinct.
Highlights included:
- A full floral arch behind the head table, filled with mixed seasonal faux florals
- Low, grounded floral arrangements spanning the entire front of the sweetheart table
- Tall, garden-style centerpieces for guest tables
- Accent florals layered around the couple’s own rentals to ensure cohesion across the space
Wedding Style & Design Details
The direction was clear from the start: colourful, unstructured, and intentional. Inspired by the couple’s moodboard and their outfit palette, we designed around deep pinks, sunny yellows, soft purples, blush, and coral—all mixed with longer stems, wild shapes, and layered greenery.
Each table featured clear Chiavari chairs, classic ivory linens, and soft sage napkins. For floral centrepieces, we kept them tall and asymmetrical, drawing the eye upward and giving guests space to interact across the table.
The sweetheart table stood out thanks to a low floral hedge and a full arch installation behind it—making it the anchor point of the room. The surrounding layout remained clean, allowing the florals to carry the visual interest.
